With the fitting of the Rae-San Hall effect ignition system , the stock CX pickups inside the engine are no longer used – these can be left in as the Right Hand side one provides the timing mark – however a number of users have elected to remove the pickups entirely.
This leaves them without a timing mark pointer in the engine. Forum members MurrayF and Micah came up with the a small template that can be printed out on a piece of card and used to provide the timing pointer when thee pickups have been removed – this is linked below for those users removing the pickups.
